Night Sailing
The course trains participants to sail in darkness on the open sea and near the coast in unfamiliar areas. The course deals with learning and understanding the marine range in the dark. The principles of night sailing compared to daytime sailing, preparations and safety.
Syllabus
The course covers: Preparing the vessels and the crew [if there is one] for night sailing. Emphasis on sailing in the dark, entering and exiting moorings in the dark, lowering and lifting an anchor. Identifying and using audio signals and lights, buoys, and lighthouses. Safety and emergencies.
Admission Requirements
1 – 30 license and/or comparable RYA, ASA, IYT licenses or country/state license.
2 – Personal interview
*The school is not obligated to admit potential participants.
**If a participant is found ineligible from a safety and/or social aspect during the course, he will be required to leave the course with immediate effect.

Schedule: 7 hours of sea training at night and one hour of theory
